Including a dollar sign in front of a stock or currency sign, like $AAPL, produces a clickable cashtag.
Formerly, clicking a cashtag would take you to a basic set of search engine result including popular tweets.
If you wanted to learn the current value of the stock or currency, you needed to go to another site to get the details.
Now, you can get the information you’re searching for right away with upgraded search results for cashtags.

In addition to clicking on cashtags, you can trigger the new search experience by looking for the signs with or without the dollar sign.
Buy Twitter Verification says it’s rolling out this feature with the significant symbols initially, and will broaden its protection of symbols in the coming weeks.
